I am extremely proud of my long run this week. I really didn't feel like running 12 miles yesterday so I was just in this mentality of well I guess I'll get this over with.
This run seemed to go on forever! I went to the greenway, so it was mostly flat, minimal hills and some gravel on some of the paths. It was a little challenging with the gravel but otherwise a pretty steady run.
Since I was on the greenway, it was an out and back run, which is probably why it seemed like it went on forever. What I am most proud of is that my goal for my half marathon is 2:15 and I just ran 12 miles in 2:05. WHAT????!!!!!
I am hoping this is a good sign for things to come for half marathon.
Bring on the PR!

P.S. I wore compression socks during and after my run (for like 4 hours) and my legs felt good today. I also took an 15 min ice bath. I was sore today but not as sore as before when I ran that far. I am telling you compression socks are so worth the money!

P.P.S. Doing yoga today was totally worth it too. I really needed to stretch after yesterday's run and truth be told I wore compression socks for most of today too. My legs are going to be in tip top shape tomorrow morning!

LAST BUT CERTAINLY NOT LEAST....I finally found a study bible! I bought the NIV Life Application Study Bible. Thanks to one of the clerks at the bible store, she assisted me by setting out several of the study bibles for me so I could compare and figure out which one I liked the most. I am so excited to start using this bible for my daily readings!
