Crappiest Training Week Ever

Week 8 of training has been a crappy week. If you read my post from yesterday, I didn't get to run my 10 mile race which was supposed to be my long run for the week and then today when I headed out for my planned 8 miler, I just wasn't feeling it and only ended up with 4.5 miles.
Half the time this week I didn't feel like working out or running or doing pushups. Where the heck did my mojo go??
Well I have to find it now, because I only have 2 weeks til my half marathon and I can't punk out now when I have worked so hard!

Here's a short recap of crappy week 8.

Monday 2/18
Elliptical 45 min (4.87 miles)
30 pushups

Tuesday 2/19
Ran 4.19 miles (42:33)

Wednesday 2/20
REST

Thursday 2/21
Elliptical 45 min (5.16 miles)
15 pushups

Friday 2/22
REST

Saturday 2/23
Unscheduled rest rainy day
10 measly pushups

Sunday 2/24
Ran 4.5 miles (46:47)
Planks & Pushups to be done

Total Miles Ran: Embarrassing 8.69 miles
Total so far for February: 49.73 (not too shabby)

This training hasn't gone exactly as planned but I am proud to say that I have gotten most of my long runs in and some strength training which are two of the most important things.
Hopefully the next two weeks will go good for training and then it's race time!

  1. The important thing is that you're still moving! We all have those weeks - here's to a good one this week!

  3. No worries - you still have time!
I also think it's great that you got most of your long runs in - I have no idea how training works, but I think that'd definitely be important!
    BEST of luck this week!

  4. You will do great in your half. Don't let one rough week of training make you think you've spoiled your chances.
