Today was my first long run of my training plan. 7 miles.
I was hesitate on whether to carry my handheld or not, most of the time, if I was running in my neighborhood I would drop off a water bottle in case I needed a sip at some point but I decided to go to the greenway for today's run. So I went naked (no water bottle) and I was fine!
This run was pretty dang good. My pace while running was in the 9 min range and my mile paces were in the 10 min range. I will take it!
Friends only let Friends drink and drive when they are sipping on yummy Nuun!
Today's flavors, Fruit Punch & Orange. I love this stuff!
Check out my daily reminder of what I am working towards:
That 13.1 keychain is last year's medal from the Alston & Bird Corporate Cup Half Marathon in which I ran a 2:22, my fastest pace yet.
This is the same half marathon I am currently training for and I plan to blow that time out of the water!
I spent the rest of my afternoon doing dishes and laundry, chores galore.
For dinner I decided to make Spinach Lasagna Rolls, surprisingly I have never made Lasagna before. It turned out so good!
The spinach is in the ricotta and the lasagna pasta is rolled up instead of laying flat. Try it! So good!
Tomorrow I will FINALLY be taking down my Christmas tree and decorations. I just haven't had time to do it yet. So tomorrow it is!
Are you currently training for a race?
How long do you keep your Christmas tree & decor up?

Nike should be paying you to have that cute photo of you with the head band up! Awesome run girl! I honestly think you could get several minutes under 2:15 for the half marathon! Maybe more, you're getting fast! I have made those lasagna rolls before...yum!
ReplyDeleteWay to go!!! Great job on your run, and your dinner looks delicious!
